The success of the Town of Port Hedland's leisure facilities is dependent on the support and valued input of a range of key business and community partnerships.

The recent opening of the state of the art Wanangkura Stadium and the extensive redevelopment of the South Hedland Aquatic Centre is an example of the partnership model we use to deliver superior recreational facilities and services for the community. These developments would not have been possible without the joint funding from the Town of Port Hedland, BHP and the WA Government Royalties for Regions Program.
