In line with directives issued by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, further restrictions will be in place in Hedland to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
South Hedland Aquatic Centre and Gratwick Aquatic Centre will close at 8pm tonight and will remain closed until further notice.
The JD Hardie Youth Zone will close at 6pm tonight and will remain closed until further notice.
Barbecues in public open spaces will be disconnected from today to discourage social gatherings.
All residents are please asked to practice social distancing at all times: at least a four square metre radius is required per person in all indoor settings.
All residents are please asked to limit travel to necessary food shopping and pharmacy trips.
The following facilities remain closed until further notice:
- Wanangkura Stadium and 24/7 gym
- South Hedland Library
- Matt Dann Theatre & Cinema
