Community members are invited to attend the first Sunset Food Market since COVID-19 restrictions eased, this Friday 5pm to 9pm at the portside district’s Marapikurrinya Park.
There will be a selection of delicious food vendors, a market bar, family friendly activities and entertainment by local performers for attendees to enjoy.
Hon. Commissioner Fred Riebeling AM JP encouraged locals to come along and support local small business vendors.
“Due to the community’s hard work in keeping the COVID-19 curve flat, we’ve been able to bring back the Sunset Food Markets in the picturesque Marapikurrinya Park.
“I’m pleased the Town has been able to contribute to the area’s revival in recent years, with the refurbished park featuring more space and better accessibility.
“The Esplanade Hotel will be providing the market bar, the perfect accompaniment to the evening’s line up.
“The Bungalow on Edgar Street is also trading late, so it’s a great opportunity to go and have a look at the innovative small businesses that have set up shop there.
“This event supports the local business community by giving vendors an opportunity to trade in the portside district.”
This event has accessible toilets and accessible parking on site.
