Member Access Update

Proof of Vaccination

To make it as easy as possible for you, you will only need to show us proof of vaccination once – We’ll then make a note on the system and you can go about your usual routine.

How do I provide proof?

We’ll need to sight proof in person during staffed hours – Unfortunately, we cannot accept emailed documents. While proof requirements only come into effect on 31/01/2022, to ensure a seamless transition, you can show us your proof anytime and we’ll make a note on the system.

Where do I provide proof?

Proof must be sighted by personnel at Wanangkura Stadium. Staff at our other facilities unfortunately do not have access to the systems required to update your membership.

I’ve provided proof... now what?

Over the first few days of the transition, we expect that there may be a queue to access Wanangkura Stadium via the main entrance. If your proof has already been sighted once, thereafter, you will be able to access the stadium via the ‘After-Hours Access’ door and go about your usual routine.

What sort of delays will there be over the first few days?

If you previously provided proof, you will experience minimal delay. If you did not previously provide proof, you will need to get your proof sighted via the main entrance of Wanangkura Stadium. It’s hard to say, however, we expect that there will be delays of up to 20 minutes during peak periods over the first few days.

Please make an allowance for potential delays, especially for group fitness classes.

What if I don’t provide proof?

From 12pm on Sunday, 30/01/2022, your member fob will not work at Wanangkura Stadium or Gratwick Fitness Centre until proof of vaccination has been sighted. Please be reminded that tailgating is strictly prohibited and members found intentionally allowing others entry into the facility will have their membership suspended/cancelled.

How do I drop off my kids?

As a safety precaution, children are not permitted on the gym floor, so you will need to continue going through the main entrance when you drop off your kids at crèche. Please make an allowance for potential delays during peak times over the first few days of the transition – We expect that waiting times will rapidly decrease as everyone gets accustomed to proof of vaccination requirements.

I’m concerned about sharing my medical information

We respect everyone’s right to privacy and we understand that medical information should be treated with extra care. That’s why we will only sight your information – Rest assured that we will not make any copies of provided documents.

Things to remember

We’ve been pretty lucky in the Pilbara so far, but with borders easing, we need to make sure we maintain best practice:

  • Maintain physical distancing where possible
  • Remember your gym towel
  • Clean surfaces after use
  • Stay home if unwell
  • Wear mask as needed
  • Cover coughs and sneezes

What if I don’t want to provide proof?

We understand that some of you may not be vaccinated and we recognise that everyone has their own opinion on the matter. However, while we don’t make the rules, we need to comply with all government mandates. While we would be sad to see you go, if you do not wish to provide the required proof, you can choose to cancel your membership by way of notice.

Social Sports, Private Bookings and Casual Visitors Update

We need to comply with all government directions and urge you to be patient with us while we adapt to updated state mandates.

From 31/01/2022, proof of vaccination (or a medical exemption) is required for all casual visitors aged 16 and over, including social sports participants and private booking attendees, each time our facility is accessed.

Proof must be sighted by personnel at the main entrance of Wanangkura Stadium during staffed hours – Unfortunately, we cannot accept emailed documents.

While it’s hard to say, we expect that there will be delays of up to 20 minutes during peak periods over the first few days. Please make an allowance for potential delays, especially for group fitness classes, private bookings and scheduled games.

What if I don’t provide proof?

Access will be denied unless required proof of vaccination is provided. Patrons who are denied admission due to non-compliance are generally not eligible for refund – Refer to the relevant terms and conditions of your specific service/booking for more information.
