Term 1 Swim School Enrolments – Now Closed
We're committed to promoting water safety skills and providing water safety education to the community.
Choose from a range of our swimming classes which cater to children and adults of all skill levels.
You can join us for lessons on a casual basis or enrol for an entire term – the choice is yours.
All of our swimming programs:
- combine water safety education and skill development with personal development
- provide opportunities for students to build a healthy body, mind and spirit
- place an emphasis on simulating open-water environments
- are available to everyone from the age of six months
- are designed in an effort to reduce the incidence of drowning and aquatic accidents
- encourages students to progress at their own pace are offered in small group classes

FAQ
Why is Term 3 not running?
We’re presently conducting works on both the 25m leisure and 50m pools at South Hedland Aquatic Centre, including the replacement of the pool liner, structural tile repairs, and pipework repairs.
What if I’ve already paid and enrolled for Term 3?
All participants who are already enrolled in Term 3 will be moved to the next term. Alternatively, participants can opt for a credit while maintaining their priority placement for future terms.
Why aren’t classes held at Gratwick Aquatic Centre?
Gratwick Aquatic Centre’s pools are unheated and would not generally be suitable for swimming lessons during the colder months.
What if I don’t want to be rolled over to the next term?
Participants will be offered credit while maintaining their priority placement for future terms. If this option does not suit your circumstances, alternative arrangements can be made by emailing swimschool@porthedland.wa.gov.au or calling us on (08) 9158 9750
How large are classes?
Our class sizes range from a maximum of 4 students for Beginner Levels through to 10 students in our Junior Squad.
Does Swim School run on Public Holidays?
Swim School is closed on Public Holidays. There will also be no lessons held over the Easter weekend inclusive of Saturday. Public Holidays and the Saturday of the Easter weekend are excluded from term fees payable.

When are New Enrolments accepted?
Enrolments Forms can be submitted at any time, however they will only be processed at the completion of the Current Term – Select one of the options below to get started:
When are Reenrolments accepted?
All forms for the next term must be completed and returned either in-person or via email in Week 8 of the Current Term – Term Fees required in full prior to confirmation.
