Port Hedland Leisure have implemented a variety of policies and procedures in order to ensure the health and safety of staff and patrons. All programs and services are run in line with regulations as detailed by the Western Australian and Federal government, and a COVID Safety Plan is currently in effect.

The key change in Stage 4 is the gym is now back to 24-7 access.

However, please note that all social distancing and cleanliness practices still apply.

Book Classes on the FitCloud™

WHEN DOES THE GYM REOPEN?

Now that we have implemented a comprehensive COVID Safety Plan to help keep everyone safe, we'll be reactivating the gym on Monday, 08/06/2020.

During Stage 3 reactivation, the gym will be accessible during the staffed hours listed below:

  • Weekdays: 5am-9pm
  • Weekends: 7am-3pm

24 HOUR ACCESS?

24 hour access will resume on Saturday, 27/06/2020. For right now, the gym will only be accessible during the staffed hours listed below:

  • Weekdays: 5am-9pm
  • Weekends: 7am-3pm

DO I NEED TO MAKE A BOOKING?

Nope! Just come in during staffed hours – Bookings are only required for group fitness classes

If you're a member, the easiest way to make a booking is to logon to the FitCloud™ –  If you're logging in for the first time, hit the 'Forgot Username/Password?' link at the bottom of the logon screen, enter the email address associated with your membership and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you've successfully logged in, go to: Book Online > Group Fitness Bookings.

Due to high demand, bookings can only be made 24 hours before each class. Walk-ins will only be accepted subject to availability as booked members are given priority.

WHAT IF I'M LATE FOR A CLASS?

Due to rigorous occupancy restrictions and in consideration of other members, you will be unable to join or participate in sessions if you're late.

IS THE CRÈCHE OPERATING?

It most definitely is! It will be running every day of the week – More information is available on the Crèche Reactivation FAQ.

TOWELS AND EQUIPMENT?

  • Gym towels are now mandatory – A limited supply of towels will be available for sale at reception, but we recommend that you bring in your own.
  • For members attending yoga/pilates, we also recommend that you also bring your own mat
  • While hand sanitiser will be available on premises, we encourage you to bring along your personal hand sanitiser as back-up

WHAT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DO WE HAVE IN PLACE?

We have implemented a comprehensive COVID Safety Plan to help keep everyone safe. Aside from our increased cleaning, inspecting and reporting regime, you will also see a range of social distancing markers, physical barriers and informational signage throughout Wanangkura Stadium to help keep everyone safe.

CAN I TRAIN IF IM UNWELL?

If you have been unwell or are currently demonstrating symptoms, for the benefit of staff and patrons please do not attend the facility.

WHAT ABOUT SOCIAL SPORTS AND FUNCTIONS ETC.?

Due to the restrictions, these services have no yet recommenced. We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that all operations can resume once the all clear is provided by state and federal authorities.
