Just when you thought we were all done… There's more excitement ahead!!
With the expansion works at Wanangkura Stadium now complete, the Town will soon be commencing refurbishment works at Gratwick Fitness Centre.
Works at Gratwick Fitness Centre are scheduled to take three weeks to complete, commencing Monday, 25 September, with last access for members this Sunday at 11:59pm.
While works are ongoing, members will have full access to Wanangkura Stadium and Gratwick Aquatic Centre.
However members who prefer to suspend their membership until works are complete can do so for free by sending an email to leisure@porthedland.wa.gov.au
To avoid membership charges, suspensions should be finalised by 8am on Thursday, 21 September.
Refurbishment works will not impact operations at Gratwick Aquatic Centre, which will for the first time in recent years, be host to Swim School – That’s right, Swim School is back in Term 4!!
If you don’t have an existing enrolment, you can download the enrolment form from the Swim School page.
If you have an existing enrolment, but don’t want to transfer lessons to Gratwick Aquatic Centre, you can choose to transfer your enrolment to Term 1, request family credit, or get a full refund.
Please note that with the lower pool temperatures at Gratwick Aquatic Centre, the Swim School’s Infants and Pre-school Program will only resume when South Hedland Aquatic Centre reopens.
